Having recorded every show on the 50 date ‘Zeitgeist’ tour of 1995, hundreds of hours of live performances were pored over to produce the definitive Levellers Live album of its time. 

HEADLIGHTS WHITE LINES BLACK TAR RIVERS reached #13 in the album charts.

JEREMY: To promote Zeitgeist we went off on the usual world tour cycle.

This time we recorded every show on early digital multi tracks, then Jon had to listen back thru everything to choose the best versions of each song, from Europe mainly I think.

No overdubs or studio trickery, that’s exactly how it was … I’m amazed it sounds so good after such a famously messy tour!!
